Job summary

Nestlé’s Atlanta-area facility is seeking a Controls Technical Specialist to troubleshoot, maintain and enhance PLC and PC-based automation systems across production lines. You will lead PLC upgrades, assist with wiring changes, and support the maintenance team on system enhancements.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years PLC/electrical troubleshooting experience.
Alternatively an Associate’s Degree in a technical discipline with 1+ year PLC/PC-based HMI experience.
Willingness to work off-shift (2nd or 3rd) with assignment based on business needs.

Responsibilities

Configure, program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
Perform preventive maintenance for controls and organize electrical/control parts inventory
Provide electrical and programming support on plant capital projects
Implement control systems software upgrade
Provide instrumentation, PLC and HMI/SCADA software and hardware support to plant maintenance staff
Assist with training of maintenance personnel
