Job summary

FCX Performance, an Applied Industrial Technologies company, seeks a hands-on System Engineer for field-based control systems work. You will perform PLC programming, HMI tasks, CAD drawings, and field wiring while coordinating with technicians and customers.

Requires 5+ years of direct experience, a BSEE/BSEET or an equivalent Associate Degree with relevant field work, and a valid US driver’s license. Occasional travel to sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years direct, hands-on industry experience programming PLCs (Allen Bradley, Automation Direct, MOSCAD, etc.)
• 5+ years experience with HMI software (Wonderware, VTSCADA, Lookout, etc.)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or an Associate Degree with extensive field experience
• Must have a valid US driver’s license and be legally eligible to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Provide field industrial/commercial control systems engineering service for customers (SCADA, PLC, CAD drawings, industrial networking, calibration)
• Support instrument technicians in the field with interfacing field devices to DCS/SCADA systems
• Collaborate with engineers to manage project backlogs and maintain relationships with contract customers
• Identify opportunities for system and hardware upgrades at customer facilities
• Document job activity and safety protocols on active job sites, travel to sites daily
