Job summary

Panatrol is seeking a Controls Systems Engineer to design and support engineered control systems across diverse industrial facilities. You will participate from kickoff through submittals, fabrication, testing, installation, commissioning, and closeout, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance.

You will review specifications, design panels, size components, and develop wiring diagrams while supporting PLC/HMI/DV programming and field installation. Travel overnight as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 1-5 years of related experience in electrical controls engineering.
• Familiarity with UL 508A, NEC, NFPA 70E is preferred.
• Ability to travel overnight if required.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specs, drawings, and scope to verify obligations and identify gaps.
• Support design of industrial control systems including panels, PLC I/O, HMI, VFDs.
• Prepare electrical schematics, panel layouts, BOMs, wiring diagrams, and I/O drawings.
• Develop, read, and troubleshoot relay-control circuits and hardwired logic.
• Support PLC, HMI, and drive programming and commissioning.
• Prepare test procedures for shop, FAT, and startup verification.
• Compile project documentation and provide technical support to teams.
