Job summary

Chemco Systems, L.P. in Pittsburgh is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to design, test, troubleshoot and commission controls for industrial equipment, expanding into instrumentation and automation.

You will work closely with a mechanical PM and technical staff to deliver robust systems. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, internship or co-op in electrical/control systems, and knowledge of PLC/SCADA, PLC/HMI hardware or software; CAD tools like

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
Internship/Co-Op in electrical/control systems.
Experience with PLCs, control panels, and instrumentation is a plus.
Knowledge of PLC/HMI hardware or software; MicroStation/AutoCAD is a plus.
Understanding of electrical codes and safety standards.
Willingness to travel for commissioning or service.

Responsibilities

Design, control, and implement control systems for municipal and industrial instrumentation and controls.
Coordinate electrical scope with mechanical project manager to deliver systems on time.
Collaborate with customers, engineers, technicians to improve system processes.
Ensure compliance with customer specifications and safety standards.
Assist Sales with evaluating future projects to determine electrical scope and pricing.
Provide technical consultation throughout lifecycle of delivered systems.
