Job summary

Tallgrass in Wyoming is seeking a qualified Electrical and Control Technician to maintain and improve electrical and PLC control systems across our facilities. The role involves design, installation, inspection, repair, calibration, and troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, and programmable logic controls.

You will perform preventive maintenance on pumps and compressors, read blueprints, estimate expenses, and ensure safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited institution in a technical field or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design, installation, inspection, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, repair, calibration and adjust various pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, electronic, and PLC control systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance checks on pumps, compressors, drivers and auxiliary equipment.
• Perform I & M checks on all control systems.
• Maintain electrical switch gear and power distribution.
• Perform advanced engine/compressor/pump analytical testing and troubleshooting.
• Lead efforts to develop and implement changes as a result of the analytical testing.
• Evaluation/development/implementation/maintenance of facility grounding systems.
• Responsible for general upkeep, janitorial, and housekeeping duties of all facilities and equipment as needed.
• Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
• Oversee the construction, maintenance and/or work activities performed by third parties.
