Job summary

Tallgrass is seeking an Electrical/Controls Technician to implement and maintain electrical power circuits, control systems, and related equipment at pipeline, pump, compressor, and measurement facilities.

You will perform design, installation, inspection, and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex systems, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. Strong knowledge of electrical codes and blueprints is required; associates degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a technical field related to electrical systems.
• Experience reading electrical and mechanical blueprints.
• Familiarity with National Electric Codes.
• Ability to estimate installation and maintenance costs.
• Strong safety record and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, maintain and troubleshoot electrical and control systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, compressors, drivers, and related equipment.
• Inspect and maintain I&M checks on control systems.
• Maintain switchgear and power distribution.
• Lead changes based on analytical testing.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and tariff requirements.
• Oversee third-party work and document outcomes.
• Communicate clearly and maintain dependable attendance.
• Work non-traditional hours as needed.
