Job summary

L2x Talent Solutions seeks an engineer to design, develop, and implement industrial control systems for custom automation projects. You will support concept development, proposals, and cost estimating, and create schematics, panel layouts, and BOMs for interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include designing three-phase power systems up to 575VAC, integrating sensors and actuators, selecting components, and aiding with project reviews and execution.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in industrial controls, industrial automation, machine building, OEM equipment, drive systems, or related industry.
• Experience developing 2D electrical schematics and control system designs.
• Exposure to full project lifecycle including component selection, system design, and quote/proposal support.
• Experience creating control panel layouts and panel designs using 3D CAD software, SolidWorks Electrical preferred.
• Experience supporting purchase orders, project documentation, and manufacturing/build activities.
• Ability to provide technical support to panel builders, electricians, and manufacturing teams during system assembly.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement industrial control systems for custom automation projects.
• Support concept development, project proposals, and cost estimating activities.
• Create electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and BOMs.
• Design three-phase power systems (up to 575VAC) and AC/DC control circuits, integrating sensors and field devices.
• Select and specify electrical components while supporting design reviews and project execution.
• Collaborate with panel builders, manufacturing personnel, and project teams to address technical questions throughout the build process.
• Manage BOMs, purchase orders, and project documentation.
• Provide startup support and assist customers with troubleshooting and system questions.
• Contribute to HMI development and PLC programming as needed (not primary function).
