As an Industrial Controls and PLC Maintenance Technologist, you’ll open the shift by reviewing overnight equipment notes, prioritizing critical lines, and diving straight into root-cause diagnostics on electrical and electronic systems. One moment you’re tracing a fault through an Allen‑Bradley ladder diagram, the next you’re validating a 3‑phase 480V circuit with your multimeter—always with safety first.You’ll partner with production and maintenance teammates, translate complex symptoms into clear action plans, and communicate timelines so the plant can keep moving. You’ll also capture your work in our CMMS (FIXX), uphold 5S, and stay ready for the occasional after-hours call to bring a line back online.What you’ll take onWork safely at all times—adhere to all safety policies, PPE requirements, and LOTO. Keep a clean, orderly work area.Program and troubleshoot PLCs—particularly Allen‑Bradley, Modicon, and Square D.Diagnose and repair electrical circuits to the component level; read and interpret electrical diagrams, sketches, and schematics.Operate test equipment; work confidently on 480V and below, including three‑phase circuits.Troubleshoot and repair PLC circuits; write Allen‑Bradley (A/B) ladder logic.Specify, program, and troubleshoot motor drives.Document work thoroughly in FIXX (CMMS) and close out tasks with clear notes.Support installation, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery, plumbing interfaces, and building systems as needed.Provide your own basic hand tools; maintain 5S standards.Communicate status and ETAs; self‑prioritize and work independently.Be available for overtime and occasional emergency call‑ins.Perform all assigned duties to support plant reliability.Education & experienceFormal technical training in electronics and a minimum of 5 years’ hands‑on experience.
