Job summary

CAREL USA, Inc. is seeking an experienced electrical technician to apply principles to assemble, install and test electrical wiring, components, and equipment into industrial control panels in our Manheim, PA facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical school accreditation preferred.
• Electrical safety training such as NFPA 70E preferred.
• 2-4 years electrical work with industrial control panels or 3-5 yrs in related fields.
• Fluent in English; ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Knowledge of IEC style schematics and UL 508A concepts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional testing of energized equipment up to 480V.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
• Inspect wiring installations, assemblies, and components.
• Provide leadership or mentoring to a subordinate team.
• Collaborate with engineering and QA to review BOMs and drawings.
• Demonstrate electrical safety and use of PPE.
• Manufacture prototypes and identify problems.
• Coordinate with production engineers to obtain tools.
• Perform complex wiring and assembly on assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Maintain organized, clean workspace.
• Use fabrication tools like crimpers, wire strippers, label machines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
