Job summary

GPC is seeking a Control Panel Builder II to wire and assemble industrial control panels in compliance with UL508A standards. You will read blueprints, interpret schematics, and assemble electro‑mechanical components with interconnecting wiring.

The role requires 3–5 years of shop experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work independently or in a team, with occasional overtime if needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of shop experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read schematics.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and safe equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble / install industrial control panels using hand and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics and recognize components.
• Assemble electro‑mechanical components with interconnected wiring.
• Cut, strip, bend and mount wires to connect electrical components within the control panel.
• Document modifications or as‑built conditions on drawings.
• Test continuity of circuits in electrical wiring.
• Work with low voltage electricity and electrical components.
• Work with Engineering staff to help improve quality and efficiency.
• General manufacturing and assembly duties when shop work is not available.
