Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Manager for industrial construction projects based in Point Pleasant, WV, with travel to sites across multiple states. The role requires a strong background in health, safety and environmental programs on large-scale industrial projects, and the ability to lead and mentor project safety teams.

Responsibilities include auditing, program administration, risk assessment and compliance with MSHA/OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• At least ten (10) years’ experience managing construction projects in an environmental health and safety related area on industrial projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or a safety related discipline.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of a safety program on projects of increasing complexity.
• Knowledge of MSHA/OSHA regulations and hazard recognition, record keeping and injury management skills.
• CPR/First Aid, EMTA, and OSHA/MSHA instructor certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Health, Safety and Environmental programs at the project level.
• Lead safety program development and drive a safety-oriented approach to work.
• Conduct project site audits, review records, permits, field conditions and safety policies.
• Promote and own the safety program; develop monthly reports and plans.
• Mentor safety professionals and collaborate with Construction Management teams.
