Job summary

GROUP Contractors in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a mid-level Project Manager to lead industrial civil construction projects from award to closeout. You will oversee schedule, budget, safety, and client satisfaction while coordinating with field teams, estimators, and subcontractors.

This role requires travel to project sites including Norco, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve issues before they impact cost or schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project management experience, preferably in industrial civil construction.
• Experience independently managing construction projects from award through completion.
• Experience managing self-performed and subcontracted work.
• Experience with scheduling, cost control, change orders, subcontractor management, and project documentation.
• Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work.
• Experience communicating directly with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proactive problem-solving abilities.
• Degree preferred in Construction Management or Engineering, or substituted with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from award to closeout, ensuring schedule, cost, quality, documentation, and client satisfaction.
• Visit jobsites and coordinate with field personnel to review progress and identify issues.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; coordinate with Project Superintendent to keep field activities on track.
• Manage costs, change orders, subcontracts, and procurement.
• Maintain project records, documentation, and conduct progress meetings.
• Communicate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams regularly.
