Job summary

Group-Contractors is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead industrial civil construction projects from award to completion in our Baton Rouge, LA office. The role requires coordinating with clients, field personnel, and subcontractors to ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence while maintaining high client satisfaction.

The successful candidate will manage scope, procure equipment, and oversee change orders, submittals, and project documentation, traveling to sites such as Norco

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project management experience, preferably in industrial civil construction.
• Experience managing both self-performed and subcontracted work.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work.
• Experience with project scheduling, cost control, change orders, subcontractor management, and project documentation.
• Ability to communicate directly with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but may be substituted with relevant construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects from award through completion, maintaining schedule, cost, quality, documentation, and client satisfaction.
• Meet with clients regularly to review status and address questions and issues.
• Visit jobsites to review progress and coordinate with field personnel.
• Review plans and contracts for constructability and VE opportunities.
• Develop strategies for self-performing and subcontracting activities to meet objectives.
