Job summary

Edwards, Inc. is hiring a Project Engineer to support the PM in leading multiple industrial construction projects from estimate to closeout. Based out of Hickory, NC, Greensboro, NC or nearby areas, you will coordinate resources, schedules, safety and quality plans, and cost control across disciplines.

Your role includes subcontractor coordination, submittal prep, and cost analysis to ensure on-time delivery for pharmaceutical, food processing, and manufacturing projects.

Qualifications

• Experience reading drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to communicate clearly and stay focused on safety.
• Procore and Primavera experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage contract documents.
• Prepare submittals and procure materials.
• Attend project meetings.
• Prepare and implement project schedules and work plans.
• Prepare and implement safety and quality plans.
• Coordinate company personnel, equipment and resources.
• Coordinate suppliers, subcontractors and rental equipment.
• Take-off plans and change orders.
• Perform job cost maintenance and financial analysis.
• Review and approve subcontract and vendor invoices.
• Review and negotiate contracts and change orders.
• Manage documentation on projects.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate with client representatives as necessary.
• Perform other duties as directed.
