Job summary

Edwards, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer for its Industrial Construction Division, based out of Hickory, Greensboro, or surrounding areas in NC.

The PE will support PMs across multiple industrial projects, coordinating field staff, shop fabrication, cranes and equipment, with emphasis on mechanical work in pharma, food processing, textiles, and power generation sectors. Ideal candidates will have an accredited degree in Construction Management or Engineering, plus experience reading

Qualifications

• Mechanically minded with ability to read drawings/sketches and blueprints.
• Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to safety.
• Experience with Procore and Oracle Primavera is a plus.
• Self-motivated to progress and learn the job role.
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage contract documents.
• Prepare submittals and procure materials.
• Attend project meetings.
• Prepare and implement project schedules and work plans.
• Prepare and implement safety and quality control plans.
• Coordinate personnel, equipment and resources.
• Coordinate suppliers, subcontractors and rental equipment.
• Take-off plans for projects and change orders.
• Job cost maintenance and financial analysis.
• Review and approve subcontract and vendor invoices.
• Review and negotiate contracts and change orders.
• Manage project documentation.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate with client representatives as necessary.
• Perform other assignments per supervisor or project manager.
