Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Construction Manager to join the Engineering team at the Big Island Mill in Virginia. You will lead field execution of the capital project portfolio, manage contractors, and coordinate resources to deliver safely and with high quality.

Formación

• 10+ years in industrial construction or related leadership roles.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and construction documents.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of ASME/ANSI standards and codes.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project.
• Experience with Passport or other CMMS systems.
• Experience in a pulp and paper mill or continuous-process manufacturing.

Responsabilidades

• Lead field execution of the mill's capital projects, driving safe execution and on-time delivery.
• Coordinate contractors and construction resources with internal teams.
• Partner with mill safety to ensure safe execution and site safety compliance.
• Assist project managers with scopes, schedules, budgets, and execution plans.
• Oversee contractor pre-bid site visits, scope reviews, and constructability discussions.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Maintain project schedules and budgets; drive risk identification and action closure.
• Support the duty team program and take on increased responsibilities as a Duty Leader.
