Job summary

Precision Industrial Contractors is seeking an Industrial Construction General Foreman to provide field leadership and oversee multiple crews on industrial projects. You will collaborate with the Superintendent and Project Management team to coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, safety, and schedules.

The successful candidate will be a strong field leader who ensures crews have what they need to complete work safely and efficiently, while travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in industrial construction with Foreman/General Foreman experience.
• Experience managing multiple crews or scopes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schedules.

• Pass pre-employment drug screen and site safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to multiple Foremen, craft crews, and field personnel.
• Coordinate daily and weekly work activities to meet project milestones and schedule requirements.
• Work with the Superintendent to develop manpower plans and allocate employees across different scopes of work.
• Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and work packages to plan upcoming activities.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, equipment, cranes, lifts, and other resources required for field operations.
• Monitor productivity and progress across multiple crews and adjust manpower or priorities as needed.
• Hold Foremen accountable for safety, productivity, quality, and completion of assigned work.
• Identify potential delays, conflicts, or constructability issues and work with project leadership to develop solutions.
• Ensure Foremen and crews understand project expectations and upcoming work.
• Coordinate activities between different trades and scopes to prevent delays and interference.
• Lead and reinforce PIC's safety expectations, including pre-task planning, JHAs, and compliance with site-specific safety requirements.
• Perform field inspections to verify work meets project drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Assist with look-ahead schedules and short-term project planning.
• Communicate manpower needs, schedule concerns, material issues, and field conditions to the Superintendent and Project Management team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and assist with daily reports, production tracking, and timekeeping as required.
• Mentor Foremen and help develop strong field leadership within the organization.

Industrial Construction General Foreman

Precision Industrial Contractors, Inc. (PIC) is seeking an experienced Industrial Construction General Foreman to provide field leadership and oversee multiple crews and Foremen on industrial construction projects.

The General Foreman will work closely with the Superintendent and Project Management team to coordinate manpower, production, materials, equipment, safety, and project schedules. This position requires a strong field leader who can see the bigger picture while ensuring individual crews have what they need to successfully complete their work.

You Are a Fit If You:

• Have 7+ years of industrial construction experience, including significant Foreman and/or General Foreman experience.
• Have demonstrated experience managing multiple crews or scopes of work simultaneously.
• Have strong knowledge of industrial construction methods, sequencing, and safety requirements.
• Can effectively plan manpower and coordinate multiple trades and work activities.
• Can read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Have strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Understand production expectations and how to keep crews working efficiently.
• Can communicate effectively with Superintendents, Project Managers, Foremen, subcontractors, vendors, and craft employees.
• Are willing to work extended hours, weekends, and overtime as project conditions require.
• Are dependable and able to commit to the duration of the project.
• Can successfully complete all required pre-employment and site-specific requirements.

Preferred Experience

Experience managing industrial crews performing one or more of the following scopes is preferred:

• Millwright and machinery installation
• Industrial mechanical work
• Structural steel
• Pipefitting and welding
• Concrete and foundations
• Equipment setting and alignment
• Rigging and crane operations
• Shutdowns, outages, and fast-paced industrial projects

Additional Qualifications, Education, & Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• OSHA30 certification or the ability to get certified
• Procore experience preferred
• Valid Drivers License

PIC is looking for experienced field leaders who can manage people, plan ahead, solve problems, and keep multiple crews working safely and productively toward the overall project schedule.

This is a traveling position. Candidates must be willing and able to travel to project sites as needed and be comfortable working away from home for extended periods of time. Travel requirements and project locations will vary based on company needs.
