Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking an entry-level craft assistant to support skilled workers on industrial/commercial projects in Phoenix, AZ. You will learn on-the-job while assisting with duties across trades and taking direction from foremen to maintain safety and efficiency.

This role emphasizes learning, reliability, and teamwork; candidates should have basic math and communication skills and a willingness to work hard in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum job requirements include NCCER Core Curriculum and/or a High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year experience (level I), two years' experience (level II) and three plus years' experience in industrial/construction preferred.
• Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Effective Math skills - add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Eliminate WASTE such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage and time.
• If unsure about any aspect of the work or issues regarding safe practices ask a supervisor before continuing.
• Learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work.
• Learn to safely and effectively use or operate work related tools and equipment.
• Look for opportunities for improvement in all tasks, means and methods regarding the work and be willing to learn from others.
• Maintain positive working relationships with all members of the crew.
• Produce high quality work, safely and productively at all times.
• Provide feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment and information is available for the work.
