Harlan Construction Co., Inc. in Hopewell, VA is seeking an experienced Industrial Construction Estimator to develop accurate, competitive cost estimates for industrial and light industrial projects.

You will analyze plans, specs, and site conditions, perform takeoffs, coordinate with project teams, and help prepare bids while leveraging Sage Estimating, HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and ProEst. The role emphasizes precision, collaboration, and growth within a safety-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience estimating in the industrial construction sector.
• Strong knowledge of self-performed work, including concrete, steel, and site work.
• Proficiency in estimating and takeoff software such as Sage Estimating, HeavyBid, Bluebeam, or ProEst.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required.

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Construction Estimator to join our team. This role is crucial in developing accurate and competitive cost estimates that drive our continued success.

Working Hours and Location

• General working hours are Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm.
• This position will be based at our Self-Perform Shop in Hopewell, VA.
• Periodic visits to our Business Office in Richmond, VA may be required.
