Lucas Industrial is seeking a full-time Industrial Construction Cost Analyst - Commercial Retail Estimator in Murfreesboro, TN to lead the estimating process from start to finish for commercial and industrial projects, including big-box retail work.

You will review drawings, analyze scopes, coordinate with field teams on change orders, and maintain organized estimate files while negotiating pricing and supporting scheduling efforts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial or industrial construction.
• Experience with retail projects preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong understanding of on-site construction processes.
• Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and labor costs.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Reliable follow-up and documentation discipline.

WHAT ARE THE HOURS?

This full‑time role follows a Monday–Friday schedule during standard business hours, with flexibility based on project demands. You'll work in the office during the training period, gain work‑from‑home eligibility after one year, and complete periodic site visits as needed.

You'll coordinate with field teams to validate change orders, maintain organized estimate files, support scheduling efforts, and communicate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors. Throughout each bid cycle, you'll negotiate pricing, manage follow‑ups, and help drive our win/loss performance, ensuring every project begins with clarity and confidence.
