Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Industrial team, with the first assignment in Council Hill, OK. You will support profitably managing administrative and field activities, reporting to the Project Manager, and travel as needed.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in construction project management, strong communication and leadership skills, and familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, and related tools. This role offers competitive pay and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Industry-related college degree is required or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years of construction project management experience is required; LEAN preferred; OSHA 10 or 30 preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Profitably manages small projects or assists a Project Manager on larger ones.
• Assists with creating and updating project schedules.
• Negotiate and issue subcontract and vendor change orders within authority.
• Price owner change orders within delegated authority.
• Approve subcontractor and vendor pay applications.
• Assist in preconstruction and buy-out processes.
• Draft scopes of work for subcontracts/purchase orders.
• Assist in project plan prep and updates.
• Monitor material deliveries and schedule impacts.
• Ensure subcontract agreements are issued and followed.
• Support RFI processes and monthly project status reports.
• Contribute to proposals and presentations as needed.
