Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Project Superintendent for its Industrial team. The initial assignment is in Council Hill, OK, with travel as project needs dictate. You will lead subcontractors and field forces, ensure safety, and manage schedules and costs on complex projects.

The role requires five years of industrial construction experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication. A high school diploma is required; an industry-related degree is preferred, with proficiency in Microsoft

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of Industrial construction experience.
• Experience with safety, preconstruction, staff development, retention and customer interaction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Knowledge of construction methods and materials.
• Strong team leadership and communication skills.
• Time management and project organization skills.
• High school diploma required; industry-related college degree preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Apple products; familiarity with scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary leader of subcontractors and field forces on a job site.
• Maintain project safety in accordance with the Company’s Safety Policy.
• Develop and update the project schedule.
• Prepare two-week look ahead schedules.
• Update project schedules utilizing computerized scheduling software.
• Assist with the buyout and selection of major subcontractors.
• Coordinate the work of the subcontractors’ field forces.
• Communicate effectively with owners, designers and engineers.
• Maintain accurate cost reports.
• Adhere to all company policies, standards, and procedures.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
