Job summary

Morgan Corp. is seeking a Concrete Project Engineer in Spartanburg, SC to support project managers and superintendents in planning, coordination and execution of industrial structural concrete projects.

The role focuses on foundations, slabs, embeds, formwork, curing, and quality-control processes. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in a similar role, a construction management or civil engineering background, and experience with concrete, cost tracking, and subcontract coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant construction experience may be considered.
• Two to five years of experience as a Field Engineer, Project Engineer, or in a comparable construction role preferred.
• Experience with structural concrete, industrial construction, heavy civil construction, or other self-perform concrete operations preferred.
• Working knowledge of concrete construction practices and quality-control requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Managers and Superintendents on daily administration, planning, coordination, and execution of industrial structural concrete projects.
• Review and interpret drawings, specs, contracts related to concrete construction (foundations, slabs, walls, elevated structures, anchor bolts, etc.).
• Prepare RFIs, submittals, change docs, project logs, sketches, and other records to support field operations.
• Assist with cost control, procurement, and change management by handling quantity takeoffs and budgeting; track costs and productivity.
