Morgan Corp. in Spartanburg, SC, seeks a Project Engineer for the Industrial Team to assist Project Managers and Superintendents with daily management activities, including contract review, cost management, procurement support, safety, and documentation to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

You will prepare drawings and RFIs, manage submittals, review designs, perform takeoffs, and assist with pre-construction planning, while coordinating with owners, subcontractors, and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Willingness to travel and work at job sites in the southeastern US; flexible work schedule including weekends as needed
• Demonstrated ability to handle a high volume of complex work with attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
• Basic math skills; able to calculate figures and amounts
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs

Responsabilités

• Prepare drawings, sketches, change orders, estimates, and RFIs to support construction projects.
• Maintain submittal logs and ensure reviews for content and conformance with construction documents.
• Interpret designs; prepare takeoffs; research resolutions to drawing issues and conflicts.
• Identify changes to work and take appropriate action.
• Assist with procurement including quantity takeoffs and pricing of POs, subcontracts, and scope changes.
• Ensure work complies with codes, drawings, and specifications.
• Prepare correspondence for owners, subcontractors, and engineers.
• Assist with budget tracking, job cost review, and reporting.
• Assist in job status reports and attend project status meetings.
• Conduct job site inspections for conformance with contract documents.
• Assist with pre-construction activities and planning; interpret designs.
• Attend and document scheduling meetings and prepare minutes.
• Participate in field activities and monitor personnel issues or injuries.
• Oversee site inspections for erosion control.
• Maintain project startup/closeout documentation.
• Keep plans, logs, RFIs, change orders, inspection/testing records up to date.
• Strive for continuous improvement through collaboration with management and personal development.
• Support safety program policies and compliance verification.
• Perform other duties as assigned
