The role involves welding, fabricating, and assisting pipe fitters with installing industrial piping, vessels, tanks, and related components per drawings and project specs. Welder I–III levels require certifications or the ability to pass a weld test; 2g/4g/6g work is expected at higher levels.

Qualifications

• Must have welding certification or ability to pass a weld test.
• Experience with welding in 2g/4g/6g positions, especially for pipe work.
• Proficient in welding carbon steel, chromes, and stainless steel across various thicknesses.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and plans layouts, assembly, and welding of pipe per drawings and metal properties.
• Layout, position, align, cut, assemble, and fit metal components in various body positions.
• Weld piping systems, vessels, or related equipment using appropriate welding procedures.
• Set up equipment and weld parts using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or arc gas welding processes.
• Maintain safety and identify risks on site.
