Job summary

Richard Construction Inc. (RCI) is seeking experienced Industrial Mechanical Welders and Combination Welders for on-site projects in Texas.

The roles include welding, fabrication, and assisting pipe fitters in installing industrial piping systems, with opportunities across Welder Leadman, Welder I, II, and III levels. Candidates should have welding certifications and experience in carbon steel, chromes, and stainless steel using various processes.

Qualifications

• Certified Welder with 3+ years of experience for Welder I
• Welder II requires 2+ years and 95% competency
• Welder III requires AWS D1.1 certification and 1 year industrial experience

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and plans layouts, assembly, and welding of pipe applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metals to be assembled, metals machining, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques
• Layout, position, align, cut, assemble, and fit metal components together in various body positions and in various places
• Bolts, clamps, and tack welds parts to secure in position for welding
• Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or arc gas welding equipment
• Weld metal materials to piping systems, supports, or associated equipment using the appropriate welding procedure for the various equipment and metal types involved
• Identify all equipment for job and process
• Identify all safety risks and requirements
