Job summary

DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations is seeking an Industrial Custodian to work at our Port of Alexandria Facility. The role focuses on keeping the office and manufacturing buildings clean and orderly.

Duties include heavy cleaning, stocking paper products, emptying waste cans, sweeping, mopping and dusting, plus routine maintenance notifications to management. The position requires following chemical handling procedures, preparing cleaning solutions per specifications, and working as part of a team

Qualifications

• Performs quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Keeps buildings in clean and orderly condition.
• Performs heavy cleaning duties including the following: stocks paper products, empties waste cans, sweeps, mops, and dusts.
• Performs routine maintenance activities and notifies management of the need for repairs.
• Cleans debris from walking areas.
• Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms.
• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Mixes water and detergents or cleaning products in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
