Job summary

DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations, a leader in high-voltage substations since 1965, is hiring an Industrial Custodian for our Port of Alexandria facility. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment across office and manufacturing spaces.

Responsibilities include heavy cleaning, stocking supplies, restroom service, and routine maintenance notifications. Teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail are essential to succeed here.

Qualifications

• Performs quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
• Interacts professionally with other employees and customers.

• Works independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.

Responsibilities

• Keeps buildings in clean and orderly condition.
• Performs heavy cleaning duties including the following: stocks paper products, empties waste cans, sweeps, mops, and dusts.
• Performs routine maintenance activities and notifies management of the need for repairs.
• Cleans debris from walking areas.
• Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms.
• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Mixes water and detergents or cleaning products in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
