Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Industrial Janitor in Atlanta, GA to provide cleaning and upkeep for an industrial facility. This is a full-time position with a 2nd shift, Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM (shifts may vary based on business demand).

The hourly rate is $16.00, with benefits available and compensation based on education, experience, and market data. Applicants must meet minimum requirements, including a HS diploma or GED and the ability to obtain security credentials.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of relevant industrial or commercial cleaning experience.
• Knowledge of SDS/OSHA safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to obtain security access badge at client location.
• Willing to work an alternative schedule including weekends/holidays.
• US citizenship or permanent residency required for facility credentials/authorization.
• This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
• May require a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities.
• Performs heavy cleaning duties such as floor cleaning, rug shampooing, wall/glass washing, and trash removal.
• Notifies managers about minor or major repairs to building systems.
• Maintains effective communication with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, and managers.
• Complies with safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures.
• Flexible to complete all tasks assigned.
• Cleans floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming; uses appropriate cleaners and equipment.
• Uses ladders and cleans furniture, walls, ceilings, and fixtures; dusts light fixtures and vents.
• Removes stains from carpets, walls, and floors with cleaning solutions.
• Prepares cleaning solutions per specifications.
• Strips, seals, finishes, and polishes floors.
• Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas; applies spot cleaning when needed.
• Gathers trash and disposes in appropriate bins.
• Wipes tabletops, chairs, and appliances; cleans restrooms and glass surfaces.
• Keeps janitor’s closet neat and equipment in good order.
• Monitors building security and safety, locks doors after hours, may check electrical usage.
• Drives vehicles to other facilities to clean as required.
• Provides cleaning support during client events.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
