Job summary

United States Sugar Corporation is seeking a dedicated team member to maintain cleanliness within Boiling House operations, work day shifts with possible overtime, and assist Boiling House personnel as needed.

Responsibilities include following all policies, completing safety trainings, using cleaning equipment, operating forklift and other heavy equipment, and upholding health and safety standards in a harsh, indoor/outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Must have positive results from company-designated tests assessing basic skills and aptitude.
• Must be 18 years of age or older with a good work record and disciplinary history.
• Demonstrate physical ability to perform essential job functions; in good health.
• Able to read, write and speak English to understand instructions and communicate safely.
• New hires must pass drug tests and pre-employment background screening; complete required training.
• Obtain forklift certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Abide by all company policies and comply with health, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in training sessions, safety classes, and required certifications.
• Use power washing equipment, mops, extension poles, shovels and other tools to clean and move materials.
• Operate forklift, man-lift and other heavy equipment as needed.
