Alsco Uniforms is seeking a Custodian (Janitor) to maintain cleanliness of equipment, facilities and grounds within an industrial laundry environment. The role involves heavy cleaning of plant equipment, detailed sanitation, and event preparation.

You will scrub, sanitize, vacuum, mop and manage spills, with responsibilities that include light maintenance such as changing bulbs and restocking supplies. Safety and team coordination are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Recognize colors and sizes, count and sort accurately.
• Certified to safely operate a powered industrial truck where required.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products and procedures or willing to learn.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively with a team.
• Work independently, comprehend and follow written or verbal direction.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy cleaning duties and clean plant equipment using appropriate methods.
• Scrub, sanitize, vacuum, sweep and mop floors.
• Dispose of trash, clean spills, replace air fresheners, and maintain facilities for events.
• Clean offices, bathrooms, break rooms and other areas.
• Move furniture and equipment between departments and assist with tasks.
• Operate a powered industrial truck to move, transfer, load and unload.
• Follow safety programs and report hazards.
