Job summary

IFF Inc. is seeking an Industrial Cleaner to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in our Hazlet, NJ facilities. The role covers production areas, warehouses, and surrounding spaces, with a midnight shift from 6:00 pm to 2:20 am.

You will operate pressure washers, floor scrubbers, vacuums, and other cleaning tools, removing debris and waste while following safety protocols. Prior cleaning experience, safety awareness, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous industrial or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices and chemical handling.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in industrial environments that may involve noise, dust, heat, or cold conditions.
• Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces when required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production areas, warehouses, and industrial facilities.

• Perform routine cleaning of floors, walls, ceilings, equipment, and restrooms.
• Dispose of trash and hazardous materials according to company and regulatory guidelines.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures, including the use of PPE.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
• Assist with facility shutdown cleaning and deep-cleaning projects as needed.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
