Job summary

International Flavors and Fragrances (IFF) in Hazlet, NJ, is seeking an Industrial Cleaner for the midnight shift (6:00 pm to 2:20 am). You will maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety across production areas, warehouses, and facilities, operating cleaning equipment and following PPE rules.

A high school diploma is preferred, with prior industrial cleaning experience a plus. You will be responsible for cleaning machinery, floors, restrooms, and workspaces, disposing of waste per guidelines,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior industrial or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices and chemical handling.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in industrial environments with noise, dust, heat or cold.
• Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces when required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production areas, warehouses, and industrial facilities.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, floor scrubbers, vacuums, and other specialized tools.
• Remove dust, debris, grease, and waste materials from machinery and work areas.
• Perform routine cleaning of floors, walls, ceilings, equipment, and restrooms.
• Dispose of trash and hazardous materials according to company and regulatory guidelines.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures, including the use of PPE.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
• Assist with facility shutdown cleaning and deep-cleaning projects as needed.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
