Job summary

Tolin Mechanical is seeking an experienced Industrial Chiller Technician to join our Tucson project team. You will install, repair, and service commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, and air handling equipment, using drawings and field equipment.

Ideal candidates have 6–8 years as a Commercial HVAC Technician, ammonia certifications Level 1/2 (Level 3 preferred), and a Journeyman background.

Qualifications

6–8 years of experience as a Commercial HVAC Technician.
Ammonia certification Level 1/2 required; Level 3 preferred.
Journeyman background and strong client relationships.
Industrial HVAC experience with pumps and boilers is a plus.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Install and repair commercial HVAC systems per project specs.
Document work and provide technical support to customers.
Work with rooftop units, chillers, cooling towers, and boilers.
Operate with pumps, dampers, fans, and control systems.

Tolin Mechanical, an established, well recognized and respected HVAC service contractor, is looking for an experienced Industrial Chiller Technician to join one of our Project Team based out of Tucson. We are seeking a candidate who meets the qualifications listed below.

We have a solid team of experienced and respected technicians. Our business continues to grow, and we are looking for another solid technician that is interested in a long‑term position and who will fit well into our team.

Project Technicians support overall project goals and are responsible for the installation of products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction. They perform repairs, overhauls, and start‑ups of commercial HVAC systems, and use a variety of hand tools, blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes, and/or engineering specifications to install equipment.

Compensation & Benefits

Average Starting Rate for a Project Technician: $59.60 - $68.00 per hour. Combined experience, education, skills and knowledge will be taken into consideration.

Requirements

Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications

6-8 years’ experience as a Commercial HVAC Technician
Level 1 & 2 Ammonia certification required, Level 3 preferred
Well-rounded background as a Journeyman
Demonstrated ability to develop rapport and productive working relationships with clients, vendors, and co-workers
Strong organizational and communication skills
Effective team player
Industrial experience
Experience with pumps and boilers
Manufacturer certification a plus

Minimum Qualifications

Over 18 years of age
High School diploma or GED
Strong written and verbal English skills
Valid driver's license with driving record in good standing
