Job summary

Johnson Controls in the Baton Rouge area is seeking experienced HVAC Technicians who work with air-cooled or water-cooled chillers, AHUs, and large rooftop units. Factory certification through the STA is available, along with safety incentives, a company vehicle, and opportunities for advancement.

Candidates should have extensive HVAC experience, an EPA refrigerants license, and a valid driver’s license. Travel of 10–20% to support startup, commissioning and service is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of hands-on experience with air-cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, industrial chillers, AHUs or large rooftop units.
• Experience repairing centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, absorption/screw chillers or ammonia/hydrocarbon systems.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain universal EPA refrigerants license and applicable licensing.
• Ability to communicate issues and corrective actions clearly to customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level service to resolve facility inefficiencies and commissioning needs.
• Offer quotes and upsell opportunities to customers.
• Support startup, commissioning and aftermarket service across Branch customers.
