Job summary

The successful candidate will pump liquids, verify tank markings, and ensure secure connections while maintaining accurate loading procedures in a heavy industrial environment. On-site work with potential hazards and travel between site tanks as needed.

Qualifications

• Education – no minimum education requirements; PTEC degree preferred.
• Certifications/licenses: A valid TWIC Card and Driver's License.
• Experience – 1+ years' experience in an industrial setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows proper procedures for loading or onloading of chemicals.
• Uses appropriate Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
• Pumps liquid chemicals and other liquids into/out of tank cars, trucks, or barges.
• Verifies tank car numbers with loading instructions for accurate placement by crew.
• Connects ground cable to carry off static electricity.
• Inspects interior for cleanliness and exterior for leaks or damage.
• Lowers gauge rod or reads meter to verify liquid volumes.
