Job summary

Excel Group seeks a Chemical Liquid Loader to safely load/unload rail cars and tanker trucks. This full-time role involves operating loading equipment, maintaining records, and upholding strict safety standards in an industrial environment.

Candidates must have a TWIC card, experience with caustic substances, and the ability to lift heavy loads. Flexible hours, weekend/holiday shifts, and a strong safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a Valid TWIC Card.
• Experience handling and loading caustic substances or hazardous materials.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols related to corrosive chemicals.
• Ability to read and interpret loading instructions, SDS, and related documentation.
• Physical ability to operate loading equipment and handle heavy containers.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements and loading procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork to coordinate loading operations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with safety focus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Physically demanding work in industrial environments.
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 50–100 pounds.
• Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods.
• Ability to wear PPE including respirators, hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, fall-protection gear, and steel-toed boots.
• Must pass required physical and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Position and secure truck/rail car at loading rack and verify last product.
• Visually inspect equipment before transfer for soundness.
• Operate loading equipment to transfer caustic materials with precise measurements.
• Maintain accurate records of loading times, quantities, rail car numbers, and regulatory docs.
• Wear required PPE to ensure personal safety during loading.
• Monitor weight before/after transfer and ensure outages comply with DOT limits.
• Perform routine maintenance on loading equipment and report issues.
• Coordinate with team members, supervisors, and rail car operators for smooth loading.
• Respond promptly to spills/leaks following company procedures.
• Stay updated on handling procedures, safety regs, and training opportunities.
• Follow environmental guidelines to prevent contamination during loading.
