Job summary

Sonoco, a global packaging leader, seeks a Manager of Industrial Carriers Technology to oversee the development, implementation and optimization of technology solutions for industrial carriers. You will manage engineers and technicians, drive deployment of smart systems, and lead continuous improvement in safety and efficiency.

You will guide project delivery, manage budgets, and collaborate across departments, suppliers, and customers to align solutions with regulatory requirements and business

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology Management, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5–7 years of technology management experience in industrial sector; at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of industrial carrier technologies, including automation, IoT, and data analytics.
• Excellent leadership and team development experience; data‑driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of engineers and technicians; provide guidance and development opportunities.
• Oversee deployment of new technologies and systems for industrial carriers.
• Plan, execute, and monitor projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and quality.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and safety.
• Collaborate with departments, suppliers, and customers to meet business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and manage technology budget; ensure cost-effective resource use.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
