Job summary

Matrix Service is seeking a qualified carpenter for complex refinery-related construction projects in Washington. The role emphasizes safety, precision, and teamwork to pour concrete, build various forms, and install underground utilities and shoring systems.

Responsibilities include working under supervision, training apprentices when needed, and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and company ethics.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years' carpenter experience, preferably in refinery environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and protocols.
• Able to proficiently run several types of equipment (forklifts, manlifts, etc.)
• Able to communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and other departments about issues and solutions.
• Complete the Company's Safety training, Process Safety Management training and Client/Site specific training.
• MUST obtain and maintain active status within the appropriate drug testing program.
• MUST pass background check.
• MUST have TWIC card.
• MUST obtain the 20-hour high hazard facility training card.
• MUST have Verification of 8,000 craft related hours OR Graduated journeyperson status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support safety and core values in daily duties.
• Perform concrete pours, form work, and layout for buildings and underground utilities.
• Install insulation and fireproofing; assist in demolition and shoring as needed.
• Operate equipment to support construction activities while adhering to safety standards.
• Train and supervise apprentices when required.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
