Job summary

Matrix Service Company in Washington state seeks a skilled carpenter to support concrete formwork, installation, and demolition on refinery-related construction projects. You will work under supervision to pour concrete, finish forms, lay out batter boards, install underground utilities, and ensure adherence to safety standards and company codes.

Qualifications

Minimum of four (4) years' carpenter experience, preferably in refinery environment.
Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and protocols.
MUST obtain and maintain active status within the appropriate drug testing program.

Responsibilities

Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its Core Values.
Pour concrete, finish and build and place straight concrete forms, irregular concrete forms, forms for underground electrical duct banks.
Layout batter boards, partitions, doors and windows, box-cut in concrete walls acoustics and drywall.
Install and finish backings, insulation, and fireproofing of columns and beams.
Assist in excavation activities and installation of underground shoring systems where required.
Assist in installation and demo of underground utilities.
Knowledge and understanding Asbestos abatement and other hazardous material handling and disposal.
Operate equipment to support construction and maintenance activities while ensuring safety standards.
