Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a skilled Carpenter (Journeyman) to join our on-site team. You will study blueprints, measure and cut wood, assemble structures, and install fixtures with safety in mind.

Responsibilities include erecting forms and scaffolding, moving materials, maintaining tools, and documenting progress. Requires NCCER Carpenter certification, TWIC card, and a valid State ID; able to lift up to 50 pounds; on-site work across industrial sites.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• NCCER Carpenter certification is required.
• TWIC Card and Valid State ID are required.

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
• Erect and install concrete forms, scaffolding and ramps above ground level.
• Repair or replace damaged parts of structures using hand tools.
• Maintain records and document actions, presenting written progress reports.
• Ensure safety rules are followed and maintain a clean work environment.
