Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Project Manager to lead critical capital investments across our Pulp, Power & Recovery (PPR) operations. You will drive projects from concept through commissioning, delivering safe, reliable and cost-effective outcomes in a manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of progressive project management experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or PM, and a proven track record managing multi-million-dollar capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related).
• 4+ years of progressive project management experience.
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar projects.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering and construction teams.
• Knowledge of phase gate project management practices.
• Ability to travel up to 80% to support project development, outages, startups, and mill engagement.

Responsibilities

• Successfully manage multiple capital projects across full lifecycle (concept to handover).
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
• Lead cross-functional teams spanning engineering, maintenance, operations, finance, safety, and construction.
• Foster alignment across internal stakeholders and external partners; ensure requirements, scope, and deliverables are clear.
• Drive FEL development and execution readiness (P0-P3).
• Ensure alignment with mill and business leadership; provide status reports and executive updates.
• Oversee design, contractor coordination, outages, and startup (P4-P6)
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
