Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Boiler Operator - Stationary Engineer in Chatsworth, CA for the second shift. You will operate, monitor, inspect, and maintain industrial boilers and utility systems to support safe and efficient manufacturing operations.

This role requires an active 500 HP boiler license and at least five years of boiler operation and maintenance experience, plus CMMS familiarity and strong mechanical skills.

Qualifications

• Active 500 HP Boiler License required.
• Minimum five years of industrial boiler operation and maintenance experience.
• Experience in manufacturing facility maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of steam systems, water treatment, HVAC, pumps, motors, and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work second shift and overtime as needed.
• Experience with CMMS systems, wastewater treatment, or environmental compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, inspect, and maintain industrial steam boilers and utility systems.
• Monitor boiler performance, steam production, water chemistry, pressure systems, and utility equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair boilers, compressed air systems, cooling towers, wastewater treatment systems, pumps, and related equipment.
• Perform startup, shutdown, inspections, and routine operational checks.
• Complete preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems and infrastructure.
• Maintain HVAC equipment, motors, valves, piping, plumbing, lighting, and mechanical systems.
• Document equipment readings, maintenance activities, and operating logs.
• Support equipment installations, facility improvement projects, and emergency repairs.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and environmental regulations while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
