Job summary

Synear Foods USA is seeking an experienced Limited 500-HP Steam Engineer to join our maintenance team in Los Angeles, CA. You will lead preventative maintenance, troubleshoot production lines, and support safety compliance in a fast-paced frozen foods facility.

Qualified candidates have at least 2 years of mechanical experience in food manufacturing, ability to read AutoCAD drawings, and welding skills. This is a full-time, on-site role with shift 2pm-10:30pm, occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Minimum 2 years of mechanical experience in food manufacturing equipment.
• Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to weld iron and stainless steel parts for machinery.
• Ability to read AutoCAD drawings, blueprints and manuals.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules as needed.
• Team player with good organization and communication.
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work on heights.

Responsibilities

• Assemble new machinery and connect with existing systems per engineering design.
• Receive training from third-party vendors on equipment maintenance.
• Troubleshoot machinery on production lines to recover from failures.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Conduct equipment changeovers based on production needs.
• Follow safety protocols including LOTO and PPE.
• Set up production equipment daily and install/repair lines.
• Move heavy equipment using forklifts and hoists.
• Work at heights up to 50 feet with proper safety measures.
