Job summary

Nestlé Allentown plant is seeking a Boiler Attendant to operate, maintain, and oversee steam boilers, air compressors, and water treatment systems. You will perform water chemistry tests, adjust chemical feeds, and maintain detailed records of operations and maintenance.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and at least 3 years of experience operating industrial boilers. Experience with water chemistry, air compressors, and dryers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and oversee steam boilers, air compressors, well water system, reverse osmosis system, and all associated equipment.
• Perform water testing on boiler feed water, condensate, boiler water and plant cooling water; adjust chemical feeds to maintain proper levels.
• Prepare water treatment and boiler chemicals using proper PPE.
• Maintain accurate records pertaining to system operation, testing, evaluation, and maintenance.
• Diagnose and correct operational problems in area of responsibility.
• Assist and cooperate with outside contractors and vendors in troubleshooting and repair of equipment.

As a BoilerAttendant,you'lloperate, maintain, and overseesteamboilers,aircompressors,wellwatersystem,reverseosmosissystem,and all associated equipment, perform water/chemical treatments, andmaintainaccuraterecords. You willbe responsible fortroubleshooting equipmentissuesas necessary.

• Maintainall mechanical components including but not limitedto:valves, pumps, steam traps, piping, etc., within the boiler, compressed air, and water treatment systems, as well as associated auxiliary equipment.
• Perform water testing as needed, onboilerfeed-water,condensate,boilerwaterand plantcooling water. Adjust chemical feeds tomaintainproper levels based on the results of the chemical tests.
• Prepare water treatment and boiler chemicals asrequired, in a safe manner, using proper personal protective equipment.
• Maintainaccuraterecordspertaining tosystemsoperation, testing, evaluation, and maintenance, performed on all related equipment.
• Diagnose and correct operational problems associated with any of the systems in their area of responsibility.
• Assistand cooperate with outside contractors and vendors in the troubleshooting and repair ofall associated equipment.

Requirements

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $40.39.Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
