Job summary

BIL JAC FOODS INC is seeking a Boiler Operator to run, monitor, and maintain industrial boilers and related equipment, ensuring safe and efficient steam and hot water for production.

You will perform routine inspections, document operating conditions, respond to alarms, assist with repairs, and follow detailed procedures, while keeping safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in focus. Strong communication with maintenance and production teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Boiler Engineer License in Maryland may be required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years in preventive maintenance and repairs of production equipment.
• Experience with packing equipment repair preferred.
• Maintenance experience in food or meat industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain boiler systems and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment.
• Document operating conditions and respond to alarms or irregularities.
• Assist with minor repairs and follow detailed maintenance procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure safety compliance.
• Communicate with maintenance, production, and supervision teams.
• Read mechanical drawings and schematics for maintenance tasks.
• Utilize tools and protective equipment in a safe manner.
