Job summary

Nexus Employment Solutions is seeking an Industrial Batch Mixing Technician for multiple shifts in Portage, IN. You will review the production plan, weigh ingredients, mix per formula, and cook batches to precise parameters while ensuring calibration and safety standards.

You will sanitize equipment between runs, document results, and perform basic preventive maintenance as part of a quality-driven team. Apply in person during listed hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or batch mixing (preferred, not required).
• Basic computer proficiency; PLC exposure is a plus.
• Clear, reliable communication.
• Self-driven; able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Intermediate math for measurements and conversions.

Responsibilities

• Gather, weigh, and blend ingredients according to defined batch recipes.
• Cook and prepare finished batches for downstream production.
• Read and execute batch records and production instructions accurately.
• Operate heated and non-heated batching systems.
• Clean and sanitize batching equipment between runs.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Follow all safety, quality, and documentation procedures.

Join Nexus Employment as an Industrial Batch Mixing TechnicianLocation: Portage, INSchedule: Full-Time | 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shifts AvailableCompensation: $19.50 – $20.50 per hour | Weekly PayA Day in the LifeYou start your shift by reviewing the day’s production plan and batch records. With ingredients staged and scales calibrated, you’ll weigh materials to spec, mix per formula, and cook batches to precise parameters. You’ll run both heated and non-heated batching systems, verify results against instructions, and hand off finished batches for production.
