Position Summary:

ANSER is seeking Technical Analysts to support the Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment (IBAS) program within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy (IBP). The IBAS program is dedicated to ensuring that the Department of Defense is positioned to effectively address industrial base issues and support the National Security Innovation Base.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Engineering/Oversight of efforts requiring significant industrial plant modification.
  • Supporting requirements generation, verification, and validation for planned industrial engineering and modification efforts in the castings and forgings sector.
  • Evaluating issues and providing recommendations related to relevant industrial and civil engineering methods, cost, schedule, and performance for current, proposed, and emerging projects.
  • Researching, entering, and maintaining programmatic and financial data in an existing standard database system.
  • Developing written communications products such as briefings, executive talking points, and read-ahead materials, among other OSD-level staff packages.

This position open to remote work within the greater Washington, DC area (Alexandria, VA). Only candidates within a local commutable distance will be considered.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Must have minimum of a SECRET clearance.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and/or lead industrial engineering/modernization projects and to develop, assess and monitor multiple projects’ design, cost, schedule, risks, and performance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Practical industrial plant engineering experience relevant to the casting/forging/metal products/metal additive manufacturing industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of systems engineering, civil engineering, and industrial engineering/construction concepts, methods, and tools.
  • Knowledge of the DoD acquisition process and PPBE.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
