Job summary

Expanse is seeking an Automation Technician I to support installation, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automation systems in onshore Oil & Gas projects. You will work with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, telemetry equipment, and field instrumentation, collaborating with Electricians and Foremen to ensure safe, effective operations.

Travel is 50%, and you will participate in startup activities, system commissioning, and safety programs.

Qualifications

1+ years of experience with PLC and HMI programming, testing, and field startup activities.
Experience with Schneider Electric, Allen-Bradley, or Red Lion systems preferred.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to field locations.

Responsibilities

Assist with installation, configuration, programming, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of automation systems.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical control and instrumentation systems in onshore Oil & Gas operations.
Support new automation installations and upgrades to existing systems.
Install, upgrade, configure, troubleshoot, and repair PLCs and HMIs.
Configure and troubleshoot VFD systems and industrial communication protocols.
