Job summary

Red Seal Recruiting Ltd. seeks a Sales Manager – Industrial & Automation in Raleigh, NC. You will drive automation growth in target markets, engage top-tier customers, manage accounts, and coordinate with product management on new technologies.

This frontline role requires 5+ years in industrial automation sales, a engineering degree, travel about 50%, and a track record of revenue growth. Salary range $90K–$150K with 35–45% bonus; relocation supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; BSEE strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years selling industrial automation components.
• Direct calling sale experience favored over go-through sales reps.
• Strong ability to develop and execute long-term account strategies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills across multiple levels.
• Willingness to travel ~50% (domestic and international).

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage new top tier customer segments, establishing strong relationships at both commercial and engineering levels.
• Primary point of contact for assigned accounts, from daily operations to executive discussions; penetrate top tier targets.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of customer product roadmaps to uncover future opportunities.
• Partner with product management to promote new industrial automation technologies and applications.
• Secure sales revenue growth (minimum 5% year over year) while developing new opportunities.
• Ensure on-time delivery of customer solutions and provide accurate forecasts and CRM reporting.
